What is Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investment?
MCRI works to monitor and influence the policies and practices of corporations. Through a variety of shareholder activities, members strive to reverse situations of injustice and to advocate for peace, justice and the integrity of creation. Recognizing their commitment to social responsibility, faith-based religious communities established the Coalition in 1977. MCRI assists members to use their financial resources in a responsible and proactive way for greater economic justice. We are affiliated with the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (www.iccr.org), a research, education and action-oriented organization headquartered in New York City.

- To coordinate the social responsibility efforts of members
- To increase awareness of social responsibility issues through ongoing education
- To increase understanding of the effects of globalization on people who are poor
- To promote participation in the shareholder actions coordinated by the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility
